Meditation, Prayer & Spirituality
In the book Radical Hope, Dr Kelly Turner was on a mission to investigate the top ten things that every survivor had in common - what did every single person do to achieve remission?

The top ten things, in no particular order, are:
-
Exercise
-
Changing your diet
-
Herbs and supplements
-
Spiritual connection
-
Empowering yourself
-
Increasing positive emotions
-
Following your intuition
-
Releasing suppressed emotions
-
Having a strong reason for living
-
Social support

As you can see, only three of the ten things are physical - diet, supplements and exercise. The rest are mind and spirit - emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing. That tells us that your spiritual and mental state is the most important aspect to your healing.
If you want to take a deep dive into this subject, here is a good video lecture by Dr Henning Saupe, a leader integrative oncologist.
What does it mean to be spiritual?
Being spiritual has nothing to do with religion or what God you believe in.
"You will notice as you read on that many practices recommended for cultivating spirituality are similar to those recommended for improving emotional wellbeing. This is because there is a connection between the two—emotional and spiritual wellbeing influence one another and overlap, as do all aspects of wellbeing.
-
Spirituality is about seeking a meaningful connection with something bigger than yourself, which can result in positive emotions, such as peace, awe, contentment, gratitude, and acceptance.
-
Emotional health is about cultivating a positive state of mind, which can broaden your outlook to recognize and incorporate a connection to something larger than yourself.
Thus, emotions and spirituality are distinct but linked, deeply integrated with one another."

Meditation & gratitude
Do not underestimate the power of meditation. The work of Dr Joe Dispenza proves that complete healing is possible if we do the work.

If you've never meditated before, or done it once and decided it didn't work, then you need to know that it will work if you apply yourself. It is called a meditation practice for a reason - you need to practice it and it will get easier.

Start with just five minutes as soon as you wake up. This is the time that the brain is most receptive to reprogramming. After a few days of five minutes, increase to ten minutes. Gradually keep increasing until you get to 30 minutes or even better, an hour a day. This is definitely a challenge but it is the single most important thing you can do if you want to heal.
To understand this more, I strongly encourage you to watch Joe's videos on his website and on YouTube. Knowing how it works and why you are doing it is a strong motivator. Dr Joe talks a lot about overcoming the emotion trapped in our body and this is why IMMUTE™ is so helpful. We concentrate on healing the feeling.

Here are a few particularly helpful ones:
Joe talks to Lewis Howes - a very helpful and easy to understand explanation of the science.
A miraculous healing testimonial.
A quick explanation of how to meditate on gratitude.
Dr Joe talks about gratitude meditation for ten minutes three times a day for miraculous results. This YouTube video makes this very easy:
No doubt your brain will come up with a thousand reasons why you can't possibly meditate today: too busy, just got to do this one thing first, don't feel like it, too tired blah blah blah. None of the excuses are going to heal you. Time is of the essence so what are you waiting for? Just start, and commit to doing it every day for 21 days and then see how you feel.
